I’m about to let you in on a secret: if you’ve got a big D, you’re more successful in life. It’s a fact.
Now before you close this email, no, this isn’t OnlyFans. Get your mind out of the gutter. I’m talking about four critical D’s. If you’ve got all four, people want to be around you. You become the person others trust, follow, and want on their team.
1. Discipline
We live in a world of OCD, Obsessive Comparison Disorder. You scroll social media and see people who wrote a book, started a company, became a “recognized speaker,” whatever. And you think, “I want that.”
But here’s what actually gets you there: discipline. You set a goal and execute it every single day, whether you feel like it or not. That’s it. That’s the whole secret.
2. Decisiveness
People confuse decisiveness with speed. They’re not the same thing. Sometimes life requires quick calls, with bullets flying and no time to think. But most of the time, decisiveness means gathering the information, making the call, and then committing to it. Set the goal. Choose the path. Execute.
3. Drive
Nobody steps into success. I didn’t wake up one day speaking to Fortune 500 companies for a living. It took years, years of grinding when there was no guarantee it would pay off. The Rock. Michael Jordan. LeBron James. None of them got there by accident. They got there because they had drive when nobody was watching.
4. Dangerous
This one throws people off. But hear me out, I believe in peace through strength. If people know you walk the walk and talk the talk, it changes how they treat you. In business, in life, in negotiations, having an edge matters. Train. Know how to protect your home and your family. Study a martial art. It’s not about aggression, it’s about capability.
The Bottom Line
Discipline. Decisiveness. Drive. Dangerous. Get all four, and people will want to be around you, not because of what’s in your pants, but because of what’s in your character.
Go get your big D this week.
